Volvo V90 Makes American Debut

Building on more than six decades of wagon heritage, the all-new Volvo V90 is arriving in the United States in 2017. The news comes via a press release issued yesterday by the Swedish luxury automaker. Making its North American debut during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Volvo V90 will be available for the 2018 model year later in 2017.

“Wagons are an important part of Volvo’s history” said Lex Kerssemakers, President and CEO of Volvo Car USA. “After successfully launching the XC90 SUV, S90 sedan and most recently V90 Cross Country, we complete our 90 range with the introduction of our new luxury wagon."

Already making waves internationally, the V90 has been lauded for its combination of style and utility. A product of Volvo's innovative Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), the wagon will share many attributes of the award-winning XC90, including features such as open-pore wood trim, Nappa leather, and a 12-inch Sensus Connect touchscreen interface. In order to provide a full range of options, the V90 will be sold exclusively as a custom order vehicle via Volvo's Online Concierge service.

As we now introduce the most luxurious wagon ever, we choose to do so giving our customers a range of personalized customer order production alternatives like the Volvo online concierge and Overseas Delivery. This way we provide the fullest range of options to wagon lovers."

 

Vehicles ordered through the concierge service will be delivered beginning in summer 2017.
